I knew it would come! The green, it’s sprouting. The last time I was here, things were more like a muddled brown. I had to be patient. Today is May 1, and it is hard to not feel a little surge of optimism on this day. For most of us, there are more days of sunshine than clouds ahead and more chances for warmth tickling our faces.
Cancer still exists, and there are good days and bad. School is in session, but the end is so close. We have mothers to celebrate and trips to plan and pages to write and books to read and bikes to ride and flowers to plant. Harper and Jameson are counting down the days until their summer mom arrives, and truthfully, I am too.
As promised when I last wrote, I went looking for gratitude this past month. Today is a little smattering of what I found.
I knew I would find so much.
Happy May Day. I hope your hearts are filled with little bits of goodness today.
