Jameson Grey turned eight years old on June 3. What?!
There are countless things I love about my son, but do you know something that is really special? When he responds, “I love you, too,” he says it with enthusiasm and with a tonal uptick at the end. It’s as if his love is so obvious. He does not reply with a drab “I love you, too” because it’s just what you do … like when we say “You’re welcome” or “Bless you” without lifting our eyes to see the person in front of us.
Jameson really says, “I love you, too!” It’s like a cool breeze on a hot day.
Jameson is terrific. I am so happy he’s mine.

Though we don’t do big parties, we sure go all out on decor here at home. Jameson was thrilled.
We usually take the kiddos on a “special outing” for their days. Jameson requested a visit to a local arcade on Main Street. So, after monkey bread for breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa, we headed over for some quarter games.
Victory: Beat the Simpsons Game. Mr. Burns was the villain.
Focusing.
Winning.
Dads like games, too.
In the evening, all Jameson wanted was to order a pizza and have his family sing to him.
It was a sweet day for a sweet kid.
We love you, Jameson. Happy Birthday.
