June Celebrations in Review

June 28, 2021

Oh, where did you go, June?

I can’t decide what caused the month to disappear so rapidly. Was it our deep yearning to “return to normal” that caused us to fill the days and go, go, go? Or, maybe my desperate need for this summer to linger and last just backfired?

Regardless, here we are, getting ready to welcome July. No time like now to give gratitude for the sweet things that defined our June 2021.

  1. We celebrated our beautiful kiddos’ 7th and 9th birthdays.

2. We spent park days enjoying fresh air and sunshine.

3. We watched our garden grow

4. We played with water and shared lots of giggles.

5. We loved on our Aunt and Uncle who visited from the D.C. area. We haven’t seen them since before Covid. It was so nice!

6. We had a sweet trip!

7. I celebrated the fact that my kids are not yet too big for my lap.

8. I had two dates with this cute hubby. Between those dates, we talked a lot about yard work. Then I cheered him on while he was doing the yard work. He can move rock like no one’s business. Love him.

9. This Daddy had a well-deserved, sweet Father’s Day.

Not pictured, but other noteworthy June celebrations:

Grandma won the Chubby Bunny family marshmallow contest. NO ONE knew she had it in her! Bravo, bravo!

Our CSA began, and we picked up romaine, radicchio, dill, and peas. And we are munching like crazy on the season’s delicious fruits.

Jameson mastered the art of shifting bicycle gears.

Jason enjoyed Lucille’s, Georgia Boys, and stogies from here all in one day. He calls this the “Longmont Trifecta.”

Harper started gymnastics, and it fits her like a glove.

Hoping you have lots to be thankful for this month and wishing you a joyful and slow July ahead.
